La Cuisine DE NOS Méres

Marrakesh is a big city with a lot of possibilities to have a great meal. One restaurant is the most memorable for us which is called  La Cuisine de nos Méres.

It is located in the southern part of the medina, in the Kasbah, with walking distance to the Koutoubia mosque. From the rooftop the restaurant, you have a great view of the city and on the many storks flying by. Especially the minaret of the famous Koutoubia mosque makes this view a unique experience. The interior is a great melange of modern design with traditional Moroccan features. The walls are decorated majestically with hand-carved stuck panels. Every wall has his own design with arabesques motives. Thierry the head and owner of La Cuisine de nos meres has created an amazing place which balances Morrocan tradition and modern lifestyle at its best. The illumination is accomplished with indirect lighting and candles on chandeliers. The atmosphere inside and on the rooftop is very relaxing. The menu contains traditional Moroccan meals made in great quality (entrée, pastillas, tajines and more). You may also notice a modern or sometimes french twist to the meals. We recommend you to leave some room for a dessert because the choices are very tasty.
